THERE was as much drama off stage as on when Melbourne teenager
Melissa Juratowitch was crowned the winner of Australia’s Next Top
Model.
The 16-year-old was overwhelmed after being named this year’s
winner, immediately signing to model agency IMG, which has some of the
world’s biggest models on its books, including Miranda Kerr.“I never thought I could even be a model, so to win feels amazing,” she said.
“I can’t believe it, I can’t fathom what is going on right now.”
Off stage though, judge Alex Perry was the centre of attention after taking a tumble off camera, treated by paramedics in the green room backstage.
“He didn’t realise the stage had a gap and stacked it,” said one audience member while fellow judge Charlotte Dawson posted an image on Instagram of Perry with the caption: “Looks like @alexperry007 modelling career is over”.

The finals were held at The Star’s event centre with a host of celebrities showing up to see who was crowned winner of the series.
Each week judges Perry, Dawson, Jennifer Hawkins and Didier Cohen chose who made it through but last night’s winner was decided by public vote.
