4 Coalition Troops Killed in Afghanistan
Four
coalition soldiers were killed in a single operation in Afghanistan on
Sunday, the deadliest single episode since June. The nationality of the
victims has not been released, although the coalition is headed by
Americans and nearly all soldiers in the region are Americans. The
operation took place in the Zhari district, in the Kandahar Province,
said a spokesman for the region’s provincial governor. The deaths
reportedly occurred in a fight between insurgents and the joint
operation of coalition troops and Afghan soldiers.
