Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers may not have turned in gaudy numbers on Monday night, but he was effective in sustaining drives and keeping Andrew Luck and company off the field during a 19-9 win over the Colts.

Rivers completed 22-of-33 passes for 237 yards and a touchdown, and played mistake-free football to put the Colts away. The Chargers did not capitalize on many splash plays like in past weeks, but their stout defensive effort and efficiency on offense allowed them to play a chain-moving, clock-chewing game. Rivers targeted seven different receivers on the night, and a 25-yard completion to tight end Lardarius Green wound up being their longest play from scrimmage.

Fantasy Spin: While fantasy owners won't feel happy with just one touchdown and a modest yardage total, there's no reason to feel discouraged. The Chargers had a game plan to keep the Colts off the field as much as possible, and Rivers' dinking and dunking to Keenan Allen, Danny Woodhead and Antonio Gates moved accumulated first downs throughout the game. He remains a high-upside QB1 in Week 7 when the Chargers travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars, who have allowed opposing quarterbacks to post a 105.0 quarterback rating this season.
