- 27 new cases have been discovered, 25 of which linked to the Aljunied Crescent/ Sims Drive/ Kallang Way/ Paya Lebar Way cluster, according to a joint statement from the National Environment Agency and Ministry of Health
- There is a potential new cluster forming in Joo Seng Road, with one of the latest cases being from that area in addition one previous case there. The remaining case is not linked to any known cluster, the statement said.
- Total number of cases of locally transmitted Zika now stands at 242; ook-back testing has concluded with 236 samples taken, of which 52 tested positive for Zika
- MPs to lead “Mozzie Wipeout Movement Against Zika” events held in dozens of areas across Singapore over two weekends (3-4, 10-11 September)

- Analysis has found that the Zika virus found in two patients from the Aljunied Crescent/ Sims Drive cluster belongs to the Asian lineage and “likely evolved from the strain that was already circulating in South-east Asia”, said a joint MOH-NEA statement released on 3 September.
